David joined Davenport & Company in 2011, establishing the Suffolk branch of the firm. Prior to joining Davenport, he worked at Scott & Stringfellow for 22 years. He earned a B.S. in Marketing from Virginia Tech and he is Series 7, 63 and 65 registered with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
Active in the community, David is a board member and past Chairman of the board for the Suffolk YMCA; Vice President of the Community Action Coalition of Virginia; Vice Chairman of the Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts; and a past President of the Suffolk Rotary Club.
David and his wife, Carla, have two sons, Ashton and Joshua. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family in the Outer Banks, playing the guitar, lake and surf fishing, and studying American History.
